I was lucky enough to join Microsoft Ignite 2019 in Sydney. The two day event happened on Feb 13-14 2019 at ICC Sydney where you get to attend awesome sessions and meet experts.
The Registration was free and whole event was very well organized. There were couple of learning paths to choose from according to your skills and expertise. I chose two learning paths , “Building your applications for the cloud” and “Migrating applications to the cloud”
Day 1 – Feb 13
The day started with orientation and registration. Ground floor was hub where partners and different companies had their stalls step up. There were some fun activities like gaming , table tennis , food and unlimited supply of coffee for people to enjoy.
Through out the day i attended sessions from Microsoft experts , ranging from DevOps , Serverless and modern development practices. I really had to reach every session earlier to grab limited seats. Around 8000 people flocked to the event making it very interesting.
Day 2 – Feb 14
Second day I attended sessions around migrating the on-prem web application and databases (SQL and No-SQL both) to Azure. They were really interactive with live Demo making them worth attending.
Last 2 sessions were around Kubernetes and Azure Serverless . They were probably one of the best sessions i attended.
Overall it was wonderful experience i hope to see them next year 🙂
